Lori Ann Blethen creates these glorious and edible cakes that look like they are freshly picked from the garden. Each blossom is hand made from gum paste, and then hand colored with pigment powders and watercolors. The woven baskets or decorated boxes, also edible, encase the cake, while the flowers become the decoration. Watch this Video for a indepth view of her process and techniques. Who wouldn't LOVE a cake like this on their table???

Lea, Lynnette and I took our mutual friend and gardener Michelle there for a Birthday in the city! I fell totally in love with this antique blue door, propped up against a back wall, and had to pose the birthday girl in front of it! Her smile tells all! What a wonderful day we had!!!
